    XRP Bridge Hit by $200,000 Loss as Software Accepts Fake Deposits

    An XRP bridge connecting the XRP Ledger with the tx blockchain lost more than 196,000 XRP, worth around $200,000 (roughly Rs. 1.9 crore), after a software bug allowed an attacker to create fake deposits. The exploit drained the bridge’s reserve wallet within 97 minutes on August 9 before the service was shut down. The operator has patched the affected code, contacted blockchain forensics experts, and reported the incident to the FBI.
