    Vivo, iQOO Smartphones to Get More Expensive in China as Component Prices Continue to Rise: Report

    Vivo has announced that it will increase the prices of its various smartphone models in China, along with its sub-brand iQOO, according to a public letter seen by a Weibo user. In the purported letter, the Chinese smartphone maker said that the decision was taken to offset the rising prices of semiconductors and memory components. The increased retail prices of Vivo and iQOO handsets in China will reportedly come into effect on March 18 at 10:00 am local time (7:30 am IST). This comes shortly after a report highlighted that Oppo and OnePlus are also increasing the prices of smartphones in China.
