    Microsoft Pauses Automatic Rollout of Microsoft 365 Copilot App on Windows

    Microsoft has paused the automatic rollout of the Microsoft 365 Copilot app on Windows devices with Microsoft 365 apps. The company said existing installations will remain and admins can still deploy it manually. The rollout had already begun after being announced for October 2025, with wider availability planned for December. Microsoft has not given an official reason for the pause, but the move follows criticism over forced installs. The company is also testing ways for admins to remove Copilot from managed systems.
