    Jio, Airtel, Vi Reportedly Raise Concerns Over TRAI's Proposal for Voice-Only Plans

    Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel, and Vodafone Idea have opposed TRAI's proposal to expand the availability of cheaper standalone voice and SMS plans. The regulator wants operators to offer voice-and-SMS-only vouchers across all validity periods and price them lower than bundled plans. Telecom companies argue the proposal is impractical and could affect existing tariff structures, while consumer groups say millions of feature phone users pay for data they do not use. TRAI will review stakeholder submissions before taking a final decision.
