    iOS 28, macOS 28 Codenames Leaked as Apple Reportedly Begins Development Ahead of iOS 27 Release

    Apple has reportedly begun development of iOS 28, iPadOS 28 and macOS 28, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. The updates are internally codenamed Bell for iOS and iPadOS and Poppy for macOS, while employees reportedly refer to the broader project as Boppy. Apple is said to be working on individual features and enhancements, with development still at an early stage. Gurman claims the 2027 software generation could deliver more significant changes than iOS 27 and may debut alongside the rumoured 20th anniversary iPhone.
